Unfortunately I was not quite so fortunate on car repairs. Sharon's Aurora failed to deliver the mile to work one day last week. After expert trouble shooting (me :) , I had it towed in to the mechanics for more extensive trouble shooting. Result: fuel pump $516, installation of same $245, fuel filter ?$, battery and new vent tube $175, plugs and new plug wires more$, end result $1550.00. OUCH! Unfortunately, the good fortune continues. Twenty-four hours later on a return trip from Mason City, pop, rattle, vibrate, enjoy changing tire in the dark, at the side of a busy highway, and return home. Next morning 7:15 AM invest $550 in a new set of Goodyears. I now feel so much better for having spent $2100 on a $3750 car. Oh well, I find solace in the fact that $2100 is a far cry from a $21,000 replacement. (1996 Aurora with 99,000 miles) Congrats on the ‘frig’.
